Nautel ND500 NDB System at Bahawalpur Airport

Proud to share the successful replacement and commissioning of the Nautel ND500 Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) system at Bahawalpur Airport.
The existing Aerocom NDB 5041B had become beyond economical repair (BER) due to obsolescence and the non-availability of spare components in the market.
Leveraging available resources, my team installed a Nautel NDB from stock and successfully completed the configuration, tuning, installation, and commissioning of the system, including the Antenna Tuning Unit (ATU).
Despite extreme weather conditions and high temperatures, the team demonstrated exceptional dedication, technical expertise, and teamwork to restore this critical navigation aid and ensure uninterrupted support for safe flight operations.

Recently, my team successfully replaced one of the legacy NDB installations with another Nautel ND500 system and completed its commissioning.
